Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 picks up after the events of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, with Kartik Aaryan reprising his role as Rooh Baba. This time, Rooh Baba finds himself in Bengal, where a character named Meera (Triptii Dimri) blackmails him into investigating a haunted haveli, believed to be inhabited by the spirit of Manjulika. The story unfolds with eerie twists involving a royal family, where it is revealed that Devendranath, a prince with a resemblance to Rooh Baba, trapped the spirit of his sister, Manjulika, in the haveli. The plot intensifies as another character, Mallika (Vidya Balan), an archaeologist, and Mandira (Madhuri Dixit), interested in acquiring the haveli, join the story.
